Pastor Aaron grew up in Antioch, IL and attended Augustana College and Yale Divinity School. Following an Associate position at Plymouth Church in Des Moines, Aaron came to FCC as Senior Pastor in 2009. He has been married to his wife AnDréa for 10+ years; together they have three children, Isaiah, Adela, and Avery.
We would like to introduce you to our Associate Pastor, Rev Paige Wolfanger, the creator of Bow Tie Wednesday. Pastor Paige grew up in Marion, NY a small town of about 4,000, her family was part of the Reformed Church of America. Leaving small town America she attended Cedarville College in OH where she carried a double major in Philosophy and English as well as a minor in Bible. Paige returned to NY, this time the big city, where she worked and began her PhD program (at Stony Book) in English. While there she met a UCC minister who challenged her conservative understanding of religion and life. We in the UCC are thankful for this challenge as Paige felt the call to attend CTS. The first CTS was Calvin Theological Seminary, while there she realized the mis-hearing of the initials from God, and transferred to the true CTS, Chicago Theological Seminary. Pastor Paige has been with us in the United Church of Christ ever since, and we are blessed by her many gifts of the Spirit, her deep theological understanding, her appreciation of the different traditions that have led her here, her humor and skill as a writer, educator, preacher, teacher and so much more.
